Chess @ Your Library
If you are looking for help with running a chess tournament at your library, I have a great suggestion for you. The San Leandro Public Library worked with Salman Azhar of Bay Area Chess on a highly successful chess tournament and recommend his services. He came with two other staff people and all the chess boards and clocks. They managed and judged the tournament and posted all the results on their web site. We also bought our trophies through his contacts. We did a quads tournament with both rated and unrated sections, but he has many ideas for other types of tournaments and configurations. Fees are negotiable. To contact Salman, e-mail him at salman@bayareachess.com.
